Nilwood Customers (500xxxx-x)

The Otter Lake Water Commission is contracted by the Village of Nilwood to provide the billing services for their customers. Below is some general information regarding bills and payments. Please feel free to call our office for any questions.

Billing Dates:

Bills are mailed out on the 17th of the month, and they are due the following 1st of the month. Penalties (10%) are processed on the 2nd of month prior to billing

Water Rates:

Inside Customer Rate – $46.00 min. & $9.98 every 1000 gals

Outside Customer Rate – $66.00 min. & $9.98 for every 1000gals

Sewer Rate – $25.00 for 1st 1,000gals $5.00 for every 1000 thereafter

Sewer only - $65.00 minimum

New Service Tap Fees: $3,000.00 for water and $1,000.00 for Sewer

New Customer Application: All customers are required to fill out a New Customer Application as well as provide a copy of their drivers license. 

Customer Deposit: Yes, for rental/CFD/No Bldg. only: $500 for water and $100 for sewer (deposit gets applied to final bill)

Pool Credit: Yes – Only for customers who have sewer. This is allowed only for the 1st pool fill of the season. Max 6,000gals (Over average) total not to exceed $30.00. Pool Credits are only available to customers who are billed for sewer services.

Leak Adjustment Available: Yes – worksheet gets filled out and signed by customer if customer takes a leak adjustment, they are not eligible again for 2 years. Please see the attached policy to see if your leak applies for the leak adjustment.

DNP Fee: A $100.00 reconnect fee is added to customers accounts as soon as the service ticket is sent to the service person. This fee is added to those who have not paid thier balance on or before the 10th of the month. **IMPORTANT** - a $300 deposit will be added to accounts who have been disconnected 3 times.

NSF / Return Pymt Fee: $25.00

Boil Orders: Nilwood communicates boil orders to WSMI

Inactive Customers: Customers that are inactive/suspended/off for vacation, etc. will be charged minimum bills. Nilwood also charges a $50 on/$50 off fee for spring and winterization. Customers still must pay the minimum while they are off for Spring and Winterization.
